Francesca graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2024 with a B.S. in Aquatic Biology. During her time at UCSB, she earned her Divemaster certification and worked as a scientific diver with PISCO, assisting in kelp forest monitoring around the Channel Islands and the Santa Barbara coastline. She also gained hands-on research experience through her distinction-in-major project with the Burkepile Community Ecology Lab, which led her to complete fieldwork in French Polynesia as part of the Moorea Coral Reef LTER program. Passionate about the ocean both professionally and personally, Francesca enjoys surfing, diving, and tide-pooling in her free time. She is excited to collaborate on meaningful projects that support ecological conservation!
