Dustin was born in South Carolina and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Vermont Rubenstein School with a degree in environmental studies, and later moved to the Tahoe region to spend more time in the mountains. He has been a snowboard instructor every winter since he was seventeen and spends the rest of the year doing various conservation jobs. This has included surveys for owls and hawks in the El Dorado National Forest, habitat restoration & land management work in the Tahoe basin, urban arborism in the Philly burbs, and others. Dustin has many hobbies, including music (guitar, bass guitar, percussion, vocals, cello, ukulele), skateboarding, traveling, hiking, and birdwatching. He is thrilled to be working towards the improvement of Tahoe's marine habitats and natural resources, and to be spending as much time outdoors as possible.
