James was born and raised in Central California. He grew up taking trips to Monterey to watch his dad scuba dive for lobster, abalone and scallops. It was there that he fell in love with the water. After high school, he joined the military as a satellite communications specialist, where he was stationed in Washington and South Korea. After seven years of service, James left the military and became a cell tower modification technician working all over California. James is currently attending Lake Tahoe Community College. In his free time, you can find him studying or rock climbing.
