Despite growing up in Boulder, Colorado, Janelle began diving at 14 and has been diving worldwide since! She studied marine science and environmental studies at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where she gained valuable research experience working with endangered terrestrial animals. Afterwards, she decided to move back to the mountains and now lives in Lake Tahoe, where she spends winters as a ski patroller and summers as a technician for MTS. When not working, Janelle can be found camping, paddleboarding and spending time with friends.
