Madigan graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2023 with a B.S. in Aquatic Biology and a minor in Feminist Studies. During her time at UCSB, she worked at the REEF aquarium as an aquarist and educator, and in several research labs. She was afforded amazing opportunities to conduct field work in Moorea, French Polynesia with the LTER network-which is where she discovered her passion for ecological research and field work- as well as the chance to work in American Samoa. Recently, she has been working as an Aquarist at the SeaLife Aquarium at Legoland California. She cared for sharks, rays, and fish during her time there, as well as participated in dives in the exhibits for maintenance and guest entertainment.
