Rachel Beckwith

Habitat Restoration II

Rachel graduated from Garrett College in Western Maryland, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Natural Resources and Wildlife Technology. During her time at the university, she actively contributed to various projects, including water quality sampling in problematic acid mine drainage sites, training with black bear checking stations during hunting season, and conducting banding, monitoring, and data collection on Northern Saw-Whet Owls.

Her journey in restoration work began in Arizona's Aravaipa Canyon, where she conducted crucial maintenance to mitigate potential damage during flood season. It was during this project that Rachel discovered her true passion for restoration work, which eventually led her to join the habitat restoration team at the Tahoe Regional Conservation District (TRCD). After her valuable experience with the TRCD, she eagerly joined MTS in South Lake Tahoe.

Apart from her dedication to habitat restoration, Rachel finds joy in live music, art, cooking, spending time in nature, and playing with her beloved pup, Captain.
